Ok, this is going to get a bit Meta. This morning I finished the Feb 8th Activities Packet e-mail. And in that e-mail, I mentioned writing this right after that. Well, it’s now been at least 8 hours, and I’ve just been sitting here all day staring at my word document with the words “Feb 2022 Update” written on it, and that’s it….

It’s been one of those days… So just now, at a little after 6pm my time, I decided heck with it, I’m just going to start typing stuff, and maybe something will come to me. So, in other words I’m basically free writing. So far, it’s not working.

For now, I’m just going to get a list of things I’ve been trying to work on, in no particular order they are as follows:

• Putting more content onto the site; I’ve been looking for more DDLG resources that I can put on here, all sorts of stuff like articles, fun blogs for lg’s and dd’s, online stores and content creators, etc. If any of you have a list you could share with me, that would be greatly apricated.
• General site design; I’ve been working on the back end a little trying to clean up some stuff on the WP dashboard so that way if you guys make accounts and log in it will look a bit cleaner for you. That’s been slow going. I’ve also been fiddling around with the actual look of the site itself, but that’s on a test server so those changes don’t affect the live site. But I’m working on making it look a little cleaner. Some of the pages I just slammed out so there would be content, and it’s not up to my normal standards, and it’s finally bugged me enough that I want to do something about it.
• Activities Packet; I’m sure as you can tell I’ve revamped the entire concept a bit, and I’m always looking for more/different stuff to add to the Activities Packets. Any suggestions would be very welcome. And if any of you are creators yourself and have anything you want to submit to go in the A-Packs I would be glad to feature you!
• Pdf’s Name; If you can’t tell I’ve changed the name. I’m now calling them Activities Packets, or like I just came up with up there, A-Packs. I like it, especially that last one I just came up with in the section above, lol. I also think it’s better than calling them Activities Emails, or Activities PDF’s. I think Activities Packets just sounds better, and is less intimidating when talking about them, I think. Calling it an Activities Email, or PDF make it seem like it’s something like work, idk, where as Packet make it sound kinda fun, I think. Idk, could be just me. But I like the change, and I’m going to stick to it. And it also gives me one name to call it, that I actually like. Lol.

I think that’s kinda it for the list right now. If I think of anything else while writing I will of course go back and add to it. But in general, I have officially made a Twitter, and Instagram for NLLB. We already had a Facebook page. Mostly the only thing they will be used for is engagement, and updates. I just have to remember to use them.  I have a scheduler I will try and remember to update often, but we all know how I am, but I will try my best I swear. To be honest, I’m not great at content, so I’m going to try a few things to keep the accounts active, but we’ll see. Got to get the followers first, lol. I’ve also been tempted to make a NLLB tiktok, and just kinda make videos of me doing stuff for the site and such. Idk, would that be something people might want to watch?? I have no idea. Thoughts anyone?

On a personal note, I’m also looking for a new job, so that may mess up my schedule a bit if I can get one soon. I need it, I’m doing way too much work at my current job for $14 an hour, and it’s honestly hard to afford going to work, lol. But we’ve all been there. I’ll get there, just got to get someone to at least call me back, but if any of you are searching for a job right now, I’m sure you know exactly what I mean. Everyone is saying they are hiring, but no one seems to want to hire… lol. It’s odd. Oh well, maybe one day this will pay me enough to stay home and do this all the time. That would be nice. Imagine the stuff I could make/do if I got paid to be at home and do this. I would love that. But one step at a time.

On a less depressing note, I’m considering selling some of my creations on the site here, little related of course. One of which is Animal Crossing themed for those of you who like Animal Crossing. I’m digging it so far. I’m also slowly working on a Little themed planner. Basically, an activity/chore/daily reminder tracker thing. It’s interesting so far, but I’m still working on layout. If you wan to beta test it, drop me a line and I’ll share it with you when I get to that point.

I feel like I’m rambling a bit, but it’s been a while since I’ve done an honest to goodness update, so I’m just trying to think of anything else I have done or worked on since I last said anything… But I think I’m reaching the end of my update finally, for those of you that read this far, congrats. Lol. You get a hug and a head pat! Ya, I think I’ve stalled out of stuff to tell you. This has been sitting here for like 10 minutes while I just grooved to music. So, I’ll just sign off now and let you all go back to what you were doing. Yep, that’s it. No more updates for now. Next time I’ll remember to take notes so I have stuff prepared for my next update.
